Ask around about what eyelid surgery costs and you get five different guesses, usually not close to each other. Compared to something like Botox or breast augmentation, plain pricing information for blepharoplasty is genuinely hard to find, so a lot of patients walk into their first consultation with no baseline at all. This site was built to hand you that baseline: a working calculator plus guides from a writer who covers healthcare pricing for a living, rather than a promotional page dressed up as editorial content for any one practice.

What the calculator is actually doing

Behind the sliders, the tool combines three choices, procedure scope (upper lids, lower lids, or all four), anesthesia type, and surgeon tier, then layers a ZIP-code adjustment on top of that. Surgeon fee, facility charge, and anesthesia cost move independently of each other depending on who you see and where, which is a big part of why two quotes for what sounds like the same surgery can look so different. When a case is functional rather than cosmetic, meaning drooping lids are actually blocking vision, part of that bill can shift toward insurance; the linked guides walk through what documenting that usually takes.

The baseline ranges are our own model, built from typical US pricing patterns rather than lifted from any single surgeon's price sheet. Any time we lean on an outside number, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons' average fee data being the recurring example, we say so right where that number shows up, source and year included, instead of tucking it into a footnote.
